Catik is the boutique art and craft stylings of Catherine McLeod, an artist based in Byron Bay – a small beachside town on the eastern most tip of the Australian coastline. Her distinct, vibrant artwork is a reflection of the beauty, colour and forms which surround her, from the shells she collects off the beach to the flowers she plants in her garden.

Catik has lived in the Byron Shire for the last 33 years and has been creating art since her school days. Through her travels abroad, she has been deeply inspired by eastern & asian cultures and finds much peace and happiness translating these experiences, feelings and impressions into her artwork. In May 2010 Catik opened a pop-up gallery in Brunswick Heads, a small beachside town 15kms north of Byron Bay and hosted her first ever solo show, the exhibition being a culmination of the last 10 years of her work.
