This installation has been Catik’s labour of love for the last 10 years. It is comprised of a collection of still joined pipi-shells making the shape similar to a butterfly. Catik has hand-painted every shell and stuck them onto 5 inch long pieces of painted timber. The original installation is a piece that consists of 100 painted butterflies. A smaller version of 70 butterflies was created for Catik’s exhibition in June 2010.
